We know that being a dad comes with its highs and lows, but at Dadzclub, we celebrate it all! Our weekly in-person meetups are the perfect opportunity to connect with other dads who understand the joys and challenges of parenting. We believe that dads should have a place where they can come together, chat, and form meaningful connections.

But that's not all! At Dadzclub, we take fun seriously! Our engaging, creative, and playful weekend groups are designed to bring father figures and their children together for quality time. Portsmouth

Salary: £13.46 per hour

Hours: 30 hours per week (Negotiable)
(Includes Saturday mornings and some evening working)

Location: Portsmouth based with some travel

Duration: 2 years (Real potential to remain in post/advance within the organisation subject to funding)

Responsible to: CEO

Main Responsibilities:
Your main job is to plan and organise different activities, events, and workshops for Dadzclub. This includes providing support services for parents with older children in the evenings, and support services for parents and young children on weekends with a focus on early years. You will also help facilitate a monthly mental health support group for dads.

• As the senior coordinator you will also support and line manage a team of Dadzclub colleagues across a wide geographical area and support the work of the CEO.

You will work closely with the rest of the Dadzclub team and taking responsibility for representing Dadzclub in Portsmouth, attending meetings and events with other professionals. Additionally, you will recruit and train volunteers to help with Dadzclub activities and grow and develop our online peer network to provide support and education for parents.

Your goal is to empower parents to talk about their problems and to help them access support from agencies, employers, and education settings. You will also promote the importance of perinatal mental health and the attachment between infants and families.

Excellent training and guidance will be offered to support you in your new exciting role!  

Who are we looking for?

The successful applicants will either be a dad themselves or someone who has equivalent knowledge and experience in working in this type of setting. As a Dadzclub team member, you will need to have a natural flair of confidence and be a good communicator with both adults and children. You should possess a passion for parenting and willingness to train and learn. Be able to work independently or as part of a team. Other duties may be assigned by the line manager, and you must be available to work occasional evenings and Saturday mornings, and travel to various locations.

Please note that due to the nature of our Dads Toolkit Sessions, there is a genuine occupational requirement that this role be carried out by a male worker.

Portsmouth

Salary: £2,414.88 per year

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Part-Time Football Project Worker in Portsmouth. As a Football Project Worker, you will be responsible for coordinating pitch hire, managing players, and facilitating a supportive and inclusive kick-about session one evening a week for dads and fathers figures.

Responsibilities:

• Reach out to dads and father figures both within and outside of the Dadzclub network acting as an knowledgable ambassador for Dadzclub.
• Coordinate pitch hire and ensure availability for scheduled sessions.
• Manage player attendance and engagement, including communication and coordination with players.
• Facilitate a supportive and friendly kick-about session that is fully inclusive of players' fitness levels and abilities, with a main focus on fun.
• Provide refreshments to players during the session.
• Ensure all health and safety guidelines are followed during the sessions.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes teamwork, respect, and fair play.

Requirements:

• Experience in coordinating and organising football sessions or similar recreational activities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in sports and recreational activities.
• Hold a first aid qualification or willingness to learn.
• An awareness of safeguarding, mental health and wellbeing and the confidence and capability to hold sometimes difficult conversations and signpost to other provisions and local services.
• Passion for football and ability to engage with players of all ages and abilities.
• Availability to work one evening per week for 4 hours.
