review-cycle in action
dadzclub launched review-cycle only a few weeks ago and our first project is well under way
When we came up with the idea for the review-cycle initiative, we knew that we had something that really could make a difference (even if just a little!) to the lives of others. The support for the scheme has been huge, from major brands like Trunki, Baby Bjorn and many more, from other parenting sites and bloggers and most importantly from the dads that use this social community.
We are delighted to inform you of our very first project.
The shoe company CROCS got in touch and told us they had a load of stock, that had been used as samples (but were absolutely brand new) which were available, and would we want them? Of course we jumped at the opportunity.
Two huge boxes of shoes arrived at dadzclub HQ - all we needed to do was find a beneficiary for them! It was actually a member of our community that told us about a charity called the Uganda Charity Trust Fund, and within days we were arranging delivery to them.
The charity is a youth development organisation which offers formal education and sports coaching in the form of scholarships to children who would otherwise not be able to obtain an education, thus allowing them to explore and develop their interests and talents. They currently support and mentor about 135 children, from primary age through to university or vocational training. They also build sporting facilities in local (Ugandan) schools and clubs and provide them with the equipment and coaches to make best use of the facilities.
Here's a short video about the charity:

All in all, a really simple process. Review-cycle does work and it can make a difference! We would really like to thank CROCS for donating all the great shoes for this one!
If your organistation would like to be involved or you know someone or a charity that could be a beneficiary, then please get in touch. Email review-cycle@dadzclub.com
